Ben Nnamdi EMENYEONU is a Commonwealth Scholar and holder of a Ph.D. in Mass Communication from the University of Leicester, England. He had his Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he also lectured in the Department of Mass Communication. Specialized in Communications Research, Public Relations & Advertising Campaigns, and Writing for the Mass Media, he has published several scholarly articles in communication and media journals, in addition to writing book chapters.

 He has a string of international awards to his credit, including the International Network of Journalists Award for best feature writing in Africa and UCIP International Prize for Excellence in Journalistic Writing. 

He lives in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, where he worked as an information advisor in the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources prior to his current undertaking as a professor of communication studies.
