Dr. Dorothy Mensah-Aggrey was born and raised in Ghana and has over 30 years of varied administrative and teaching experiences in music, theology and education. After graduating with a B. Mus. (Music) and Dip. Ed. (Education) simultaneously from the University of Cape Coast in Ghana in 1985, she taught Music (form, orchestra, chorale and dance) and English (Literature and Drama) at Saint Augustine’s College in Cape Coast, Ghana for four and half years before she was transferred to the Ghana Education District Office in Cape Coast as District Music Organizer, where she supervised over 60 schools. From there, she studied theology at the Franciscan University of Steubenville, OH and earned an MA (with Honors) and went on to work with the Archdiocese of Washington in DC for 18 years serving as a Youth Minister, Director of Faith Formation, and, Director of Religious Education.

Her extensive travels to other parts of Africa, Europe and over half of the States within the United States account for her sharp and sensitive perspective on cultural affairs.Teaching and music are her passion and she chooses to use them to glorify the Lord.

In this digital age, her mission is to draw attention to the proper use of the internet and distance learning in propagating the Gospel. She has two young adult children whom she adores beyond measure. Her greatest joy is in sharing her faith and counting the blessings bestowed on her by the good Lord.  As she often says, “The Lord is all I have so I place all my trust in him” (Lam. 3:24).
