Ms Esther Nyanja is a Malawian journalist with a vast experience of about ten years in the media industry both print and broadcasting media. 


She has a diploma in Mass Communication and Journalism obtained from the Malawi Polytechnic, one of the public universities in Malawi. 


She has worked in more than four media houses including the public media,the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation MBC,where she worked as a reporter, producer, presenter as well as the acting  supervisor of the News and Current Affairs Department.


Currently she is working as a senior reporter at the Blantyre Synod radio one of the religious media houses in the country. Esther is affiliated to different media related groups like the  Communications workers Union COWUMA as a secretary,an organisation that's fights for the welfare of journalists at the work places.  


She has been entrusted to be in the executive committee of the Association of Catholic Journalists ACJ as a vice chairperson,an Association that has its branches in all the six Archdioceses and two Dioceses respectively. 


Currently, she is the executive secretary in the Blantyre Archdiocese radio, a committee which has been earmarked to set up a radio station in the Archdiocese and also part of the Malawi Congress of Trade Union MCTU as a research assistant officer, an organisation that fights for the welfare of all workers in the private sector.


On top of that she us an executive member of the journalists Union of Malawi JUMA. With the vast experience in the media industry has sharpened her career and exposed her into various areas and issues, right now she part of the  facilitation team when it comes to church trainings that deals with issues of communication at the diocese level. This has also helped her to realise her potential as an advocate on issues of Women and Girls rights, up to the point I am one of the volunteers at one of the local organisations in the country called the Step Kids awareness. Ends
